“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

What a joy and blessing to connect with a verse we’ve always heard and apply it in a fresh new way. When Jesus gave this message, He meant it. In a world where there are thousands of churches, many still haven’t heard or understood His love. So, He meant it then, and He means it now. His word never expires or changes.

Today, we find ourselves unleashing the gospel to a generation that may feel tested and worn by a local church. So remember, they are tender to the message and we have to look at His message with a wide camera view. His message never changes, but the hearts of those we come in contact with does change.

Y’all, my sweet friends, as we wrap up this review of Matthew 28:19-20, we’ve talked a lot about what it is… now, let's look at what it’s not:

  • It’s not about having us bring a bunch of people to church.
  • It’s not about us having followers of our own.
  • It’s not about having a ton of church members.
  • It’s not about building up the church

… all of these are His job!! Our job is to:

  • GO around the corner and around the world.
  • Love ALL the people.
  • Going IN with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • And, remembering we do it all with Jesus by our side… ALWAYS

Y’all, it’s pretty simple. We are here to keep working on what He started. We are given the opportunity to be on Team Jesus!! His love, His gift of salvation, and His constant presence is for everyone and we are here to show it.

Lord, we pray for passion, backbone and love to share YOU with those all around us. We can’t wait to forge a deeper partnership with You, and we celebrate in advance those that hear You call their name and answer. We are just so thankful to be included in such an amazing way. Amen.
