Love should make us better, and this series will help us love better. The more we understand God’s love, the more we will love others. In this series, Pastor Ron will take us on a journey to discover a love that only God can provide.
"There is one body and one spirit--just as you were called to one hope at your calling--one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all (Ephesians 4:4-6). Oneness--coming together as one--is central to the gospel message. Pastor Ron shares three requirements for oneness in this message:
1. Oneness requires humility.
2. You must consider the interests of others ahead of y our own.
3. You must submit to one another.
There is power in words. How do they work in building oneness? The quality of any relationship is often directly related to the quality of the words used in that relationship. Words can make or break a relationship. In this message, Pastor Ron unpacks the influence of our words.
Actions bring integrity to our words and impact our relationship with God. Do we panic? Or do we pray? Our actions indicate our level of trust. God doesn't love us with words only--He validates it with His actions. How do our actions affect oneness in our relationships? In this message, Pastor Ron teaches us that the true test of love is actions, not words.
Grace is unmerited favor. We can't have oneness in relationships without extending grace. Pastor Ron wraps up the Love Helps series by teaching us three ways to apply grace to the relationships in our lives:
1. We must realize the grace we have received through Jesus.
2. Practice daily forgiveness, letting go of offenses.
3. Filter everything through love.
